The CPUR Virtual Week conducted different competitions in CPUR Highlights, Academic, and Non-academic events. The Virtual Week had nourished the skills and talents of every Centralian, allowing them to discover different facets of their selves and transcending boundaries with science and faith. The competitions allowed the council and college to show the beauty and pride of being an Educator, as well as being a product of Central Philippine University College of Education. It allowed us to show that we are not just “Education lang” but we can make massive changes and keep the flame going.

                        The college had joined competitions from different categories and showed that they can truly make a difference. The officers had begun preparing the participants and for the pre-requisites of the competitions from Academic, Non-academic up to the Highlights events. Participants from the College of Educations had won awards in the CPUR Virtual Week.

Academics

Academic Literary Panulaton Category

Rhea Jane Moleño won 2nd Place in the English Poetry Writing, virtual vocal solo OPM competition that aims to provide an avenue for Centralian writers to express their ideas, thoughts, and sentiments through poetry.

Public Speaking Category

Heber Paul C. Dalen, won 1st Place in the Extemporaneous Speaking, virtual vocal solo OPM competition that aims to exhibit the Centralians ability to explain what they know about the subject on hand in a coherent and engaging manner.

Non-Academics

Musical category

Rhey Marie Taniñas won 2nd Place in the Voices of Centralians, virtual vocal solo OPM competition that aims to exhibit the Centralians prowess and vocal skills.

Highlights

CENTRALIAN RHAPSODY

“The Champion for today’s battle of the bands is a cut above everyone else” – Centralian Rhapsody Board of Judges

The band On The Spot (OTS) defended their title as the CHAMPION in this year’s Centralian Rhapsody’s Battle of the Bands competition. They have won the competition last year and proved that this year, the flame will keep going. The band members are Vanni Dizon, Charlyn Joy Gierza, Carl Jason Barrientos, Jireh Daniel Tim Pinuela and John Dale Jumilla . They also won special awards in the competition: Best Vocalist and Best use of Musical Instruments.

PASUNDAYAG

            College of Education Student Council received Yuhuman Award in the CPUR PASUNDAYAG. This special award chosen by the CPUR committee for the most optimistic performance that significantly gives hope and simple yet still able to give impact and inspiration to the viewers.

CENTRALIAN IDOL

            Juan Carlo Yuan Catague won 3rd Place in the search for the next Centralian star. The event highlighted the creativity of the college in preparing for the necessities of the participant from costumes to talents.
